Pictish Trail is summarising the music of Alliyah Enyo, who is a sound artist, producer and DJ based in Edinburgh, holding a sound art residency with Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop. She designs, records, and archives sound, often using field recordings like archaeological objects, gravitating towards embodied and meditative processes.
Believing frequencies in sound are healing, Enyo harnesses ritualisation to create ‘sonorous myth’ (of a deep, pleasant sound) installations and performances. Using analogue hardware, she creates multi-layered soundscapes, exploring Greek and Roman mythology and poetry.
Pictish Trail, Fell and Alliyah Enyo will be performing at our Daylight Music experience, in collaboration with Lost Map Records:
