Welcome back to the Magnetic IDEX channel! In this video I show you exactly how to calibrate the XY tool offsets on a Picolino so your dual-color / dual-extruder prints line up perfectly.
We start with a fun floating Benchy (yes, it actually floats) printed in dual-color filament, then dive into a simple, repeatable XY offset calibration method using a lightweight corrugated test object. I’ll walk you through:
- Printing the calibration part with T0 and T1
- Measuring with digital calipers (Bluetooth makes data entry super easy)
- Using a quick spreadsheet calculation to get the exact new offsets
- Updating your config and verifying the results
You’ll see the before-and-after difference and how close you can get with just one calibration object (even a 25 mm cube works great).
