Pico Iyer was born in England to Indian parents, grew up in California and now lives in Japan. Pico is here to talk about some of the ideas that have been haunting him recently. He's been thinking a lot about the ways in which human beings are living in ways they never have, scarcely even been able to imagine, in history before. He discusses his definition of a "global soul", describing how globalism plays out on an individual level, the level of imagination, how it affects our dreams, how it changes our sense of family and how it challenges and forces us to define our sense of self.
