Picking Up The Pieces - When both their parents tragically pass away two brothers must come together to clean their childhood house but amongst the dust and clutter they find old wounds ready to be reopened.
Filmed in Summer of 2022 director Daniel Lotz was at the end of his rope, going through a divorce, leaving his home, living in his parents basement amongst a room filled with storage it seemed all was wrong to finish his 12 feature films project. In the chaos and clutter an idea was born. Making a movie that would also serve as a function to clean up the clutter around him. Co director Joshua Horvath joined the project after hearing the idea and the rest is history. What ended up being created was a deep meditation on family, brotherhood, and losing your childhood innocence. What happens when you are forced to pick up the pieces?
