I was supposed to be getting on with lots of stuff today - but instead I went strawberry hunting in the garden with my granddaughter :-)
These are from some of the plants I planted out in January. I had 20 slips in all, 10 Elegance and 10 Albion.
Not one of the Albion grew. 7 out of 10 of the Elegance grew and produced flowers.
I've planted 6 of them in their own bed - we've had 2 small harvests but I've pinned down two runners and will eventually fill that bed with Elegance so hoping for a bigger better crop next year.
They're the biggest strawberries we've grown so far ... and they are delicious :-)
