Moments captured during the "Tangible-in-Tangible" workshop held by Attila Veress, Designer & IED Ambassador, the presentation of IED study programs, held by Marta Malcontenti, Area Manager IED. Over 120 students from the Universities of Design and Architecture and young people from the creative industry were present in the workshop hosted by PIATRAONLINE ROMANIA. Here are some behind-the-scenes moments.
Attila Veress, product design talent and IED teacher, is an internationally renowned designer born in Transylvania, raised in the United Arab Emirates and a graduate of IED Milano, specializing in Product Design. After collaborating with major brands such as 3M and BMW, in 2015 Attila Veress opened his own design studio. He is currently a consultant for a number of international brands, dividing his time between classical design and strategic design projects. With him, the participants delved into the applications of design in different fields and at different levels, discovered what it means to study design, train as a designer and what a day in the life of a creative director at a company specializing in marble looks like. From developing a new catalog, to choosing materials, styling and photography, the trainees learned what it means to develop the creative vision of a company.
The participants were divided into teams and had to solve a design brief. Attila Veress, together with the best designers and architects from Bucharest, part of the ArhiKit community, were the mentors of the creative workshop and coordinated the teams during the co-creation session.
PIATRAONLINE's mission is to support and train the next generation of designers by providing them with access to resources, mentors and the best study programs in the world. The event is organized in collaboration with IED, one of the most prestigious educational networks in the world.
IED Istituto Europeo di Design is the 100% Made in Italy international network operating in education and research in Italy, Spain and Brazil. The 4 departments of the institution are Design, Fashion, Visual Arts and Communication, with design culture as the common denominator. The educational offer of IED includes a wide variety of courses: Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Summer, Semester & Academic Year, Foundation, continuing education.
