I made a couple of piano and strings patterns in FL Studio, recorded a few basslines, and rendered them into a handful of short loops and put them on the Octatrack. I'm not using a lot of crazy FX on the loops themselves, but I had a lot of fun with one particular trick: fading out all the instruments and bringing in a mangled versions of the piano loops drenched in reverb.
When I had my first Octatrack, I really disliked splitting my workflow into two parts like this where I make loops in FL Studio then arrange them on the Octatrack. I've spent the past few years making music directly on the Elektron instruments, and now this feels like a great change of pace.

Strings: EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Platinum Play
Bass: Squier VM Jazz Bass with roundwounds
I used the following plugins in post:
MJUC (compressor and drive)
Phoenix (preamp sim)
Maximus (Multiband expander I use as an EQ)
SlickEQ (equalizer for the highest highs)
ToTape6 (tape sim)
Limiter6 (using the clipper and limiter modules)
