Hello all,
This is the third and final movement of the Piano Sonata I've been working on for most of August. I wrote it in Sonata form with some twists here and there with the biggest change being what I did with the keys in the exposition.
For those of you who are new to sonata form, there are three main segments: The exposition, the development, and the recapitulation. The exposition here is split into two different thematic areas presenting the themes and ideas of the piece. The development section then develops those ideas and explores them further, presenting them in new and unique ways. The recapitulation finally repeats the opening themes this time with both thematic sections in the home key of the piece.
This movement ended up being much longer than I thought it was going to be. Let me know in the comments if you think I should keep the repeat when I compile the video of the full sonata. I generally don't like repeats but I think it worked here.
