Jerome Kern's jazz standard, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, arranged for piano duet by Scott Meek, based on the 2-violin/piano version by violinist Igor Frolov. Performed live by The Meeks Duo (Scott Meek and Clare Yuan) for the Emerging Alumni Artist concert series at University of Victoria, Victoria, BC, October 2023.

I played the Frolov 2-violin/piano arrangement many years ago and the arrangement always had a special place in my memory. When our longtime friend Ray told us that Smoke Gets in Your Eyes was his favorite song, we thought that this version would work perfectly as a basis for a piano duet arrangement! When arranging, I kept every note from the original, and added a few things here and there to fit the piano 4-hand texture better.
