In this video, I build a compact Raspberry Pi 5 NAS using a mix of NVMe and 2.5" SATA SSDs, all inside a custom enclosure made from carbon fibre and acrylic panels cut on the new Makera Z1 Desktop CNC machine. I designed the case in Fusion 360, machined the parts on the Z1, assembled the NAS, installed OpenMediaVault, and ran real-world performance tests on it.
