In this video, I talk to Dr. Stuti Jha about the current and future physician labor market shortage and how policies can close the gap. Stuti Jha is an Associate Professor of Economics, with specialization in Labor and Health Economics. She has several years of experience working for academia, Government, and other civil society organizations. At Rowan University, Dr. Jha has worked closely with other departments on number of research projects. She has experience in different research methods including survey creation and distribution, use of secondary data sources, community needs assessment (health focus), data collection and use of econometrics techniques to analyze data. Dr. Jha has published in peer-reviewed journals and have been part of several federally funded projects as a Co-PI and project evaluator. Dr. Jha has worked in inter-disciplinary teams with colleagues from Rowan School of Medicine, Department of Psychology, College of Engineering and other Social Sciences. Besides research, Dr. Jha has experience in teaching core Economics’ course at the undergraduate level including Introduction to Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Labor Economics, Health Economics, Econometrics and Statistics for Economists. Currently, she is teaching the Health Policy course to the Master of Public Policy Students.
