Just stop limiting when you see your damage double or if you have a debuff, the damage turns white, that's when you know the enemy is ded or close to dying. (The health bar will keep resetting if you don't unlimit at this point)
Obviously limiting is not stable and you won't 100% kill him everytime. You might have to 2 phase sometimes.
