Adobe Photoshop CS6 Tutorial for Beginners - Interface and Introduction
So a large majority of our audience requested Photoshop tutorials so we decided incase some of you never opened Photoshop to create a beginner series first before diving into more specific or complex techniques.
Once we finish covering the basics, we will be creating tutorials on more specific topics such as texturing, digital painting, matte painting, pre-production, character design, composting etc. Even if you have a fair understanding in Photoshop I recommend you watch the parts that you didn't cover before or unsure about. All the Photoshop for beginners series will be split into small topics so you can easily navigate through the tutorial series, although for beginners I recommend not to skip through the tutorial.

This video is part 3 in a 5 part series. In this tutorial, Jason will discuss the Unwrap UVW Modifier. He begins by opening the UVW Editor Window and discussing his method of breaking the chests UVs into sections called elements. He discusses the organization of these UVs from parts that are unwrapped to the parts that have yet to be unwrapped. He shows some simple techniques that speed the unwrapping process up. He then finishes by packing the unwraps into the UVW space and best practices to maximize this space.
