Here's a few more 3D models from photos. These came out pretty good.
The first one is from a very early AI postcard app someone wrote, not me, and I just wanted to see if it would pick out the AT-AT from the background. It did.
The second was for a title screen background. It needed to move with the motion of the phone to create a sense of depth.
The third was steps for an arch vis project based on the architect's actual home.
The fourth is an inverted ball of spider webs from an upcoming remake of one of my old Halloween games.
The last was backdrop for a game centered in Chaco Canyon, in New Mexico. I'll probably do the next video just on that. That one piece of art though was in the background, and had to be sun-accurate based on the time of day and your position in the game. I spent months building and testing that asset at distances, so it looked right. If I'd had this, I would've been able to do that in about 3 minutes for all six locations, and called it a day.
