“If you love being out and about in New York City, this is the class for you.”
This spring, ICP faculty member Jade Doskow leads a walking course inspired by Berenice Abbott’s Changing New York (1935–39), revisiting sites Abbott photographed and considering how the city has changed, or stayed the same. Students will explore neighborhoods across New York and share their work in critique sessions at ICP.
Doskow is the Photographer-in-Residence of Freshkills Park, and her work has been featured in The New York Times, Aperture, and more. We filmed with her in her Brooklyn studio to learn more about her upcoming class, her practice, and how she approaches photographing architecture and cityscape.
