I don't get it. Why is phonk music a subgenre of hiphop/trap music when it sounds to me like house music?
I mean... I listen to various phonk songs, especially Murder In My Mind, and they all sound to me like house music. Why is that?
Anyway, this is my first attempt at a phonk song. I'm kind of new to this genre, so I hope I did very well.
The plucked instruments you hear in phonk songs, I had a hard time trying to find these. I also tried to find a good bass instrument to use for this.
I also made use of the new producer pack that recently got added to GarageBand.
And we also have the Vox Melodics sound pack. I tried to use one of the ad libs from that sound pack in this song.
This is also my first song of 2024, hope you enjoy!
