This is how I make a holder for a smartphone or ipad type pad. This holds it up at an angle that makes it easy to watch and read while sitting at a desk. I make this type out of horse shoes. I use new and used shoes. Even if someone wanted to send me shoes from their favorite horse to make a holder for them or I can make other items as well like hoof picks and letter openers.
