PRETTY good run! One death (which is absolutely fine for this category), lost 35 seconds to not critting Rockstar and I forgot to change my skills for baron (which was not a big deal as I saved before) ...
Also, I made some minor mistakes as this was my 19th attempt (50+% of the runs end within 3 minutes btw.) and the whole run was rerouted so there was not much time to practice - but considering the circumstances I am mostly happy with my decision-making.

- why dont you shop before fighting Ghost Samurai / Ghost Assassin despite having enough gold for Shadow Legwraps?
I am trying to manipulate the AI of shadow assassin. By having his health between 50% and 45% there is a 50% chance for him to not use shadow blend (which didnt work this time). Also, the legwraps usually dont help me against Samurai (they could sometimes save a turn with crits but that is not guaranteed ... also you dont always have the money for legwraps before samurai - this was actually a rare occurence in this run xD)
- why are you swapping your equipment between some fights
During the run there are a few defensive Items I want to use in order to not die to certain attacks. You need at least one Samurai item or Sensei will outright oneshot you with Ice Smash. I usually go for both as it gives me further protection and also reduces his crit chance which makes the fight a bit less luck-based. In Zone 3 I am using parts of the survivors armor as it gives me tons of defense against physical and earth attacks. This allows me to survive attacks from Golems, Shamans of Blades and Baron much better. Also, zone 3 helmets and chest plates cant be equipped until level 10. So I am using survivors armor for that time instead.
- Why did you reset after starting baron?
Because I am an idiot. xD I am supposed to equip Wound 3times for the last 2 fights as master strike wont be of any use in those fights. Wound can be used against baron to increase pallly damage to ridiculous levels and it also serves as setup against paladin so that Coup de Grace can kill him from 1000+ health (you have to kill him while he is still at 50+% health or he could heal back to full)
- why do you respec twice?
Clearing the early part is fastest by just spamming and maximizing smash. I could skip the first respec but not only do I not know if this is even faster and also getting break for stuns greatly reduces the likelyhood of dying. And with 3 remaining points wound is definitely stronger than smash. The second respec is mandatory for getting Coup de Grace which basically allows me to oneshot like 70% of the enemies.
- why does the ZPCI Elite heal himself at 26:12 instead of his wounded teammate?
There is a strange bug in this game that sometimes causes an enemy that wants to heal a wounded ally to heal himself instead. Strangely enough, this can also happen with units that have self-cast only healing spells (e.g. Shamans of Blades) which implies, that all units with healing spells (or rather all units in general) use the same A.I.
While it is a rare occurance it can prove very useful, especially versus the shaman leaders (If Vendetta doesnt die in turn 2 there is a chance that striker burns his 500 hp self-heal) and against those 3 ZPCI guys.
The reason why it is so useful in the latter fight is because the AI (for both enemies and your allies) is aware of their teammates actions. That means if unit A decides to heal a wounded ally the AI for unit B factors in the amount of heal from that spell. This still happens if the unit happens to accidentally heal itself instead - or in other words: when the ZPCI Elite healed himself he also prevented the medic from healing which saved me a LOT of frustration.
(on a side note: this is also the reason why paladin rarely heals as long as veradux takes care of that job and the top unit gets priority over the bottom unit in terms of A.I.)")

Those tracks are basically a perfect match. All I did was to delay Reverse by 4 bars and to loop the song starting from bar 9. Also, I had to raise Cheetahmens key by 2 semitones.
.... oh, and I was having a little fun with GIMP. xD

Reverse? Is a remix of Cornered 2001 from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney played in the Anime No Game no Life.
Cheetahmen is a game from 1993 released as part of the Action 52 collection.
Cornered and the Cheetahmen theme are already known to be quite similar but apparently Reverse and Cheetahmen are even more alike which is why I decided to do this little video.

This was actually an older project that I decided to remaster a while ago. This track was originally intended to be part of an Ace Attorney fan game called Games of Devil but unfortunately, the project got cancelled. But whatever, music is still music so here you go :p
Fun fact. The old version is actually on YouTube (however, not on my channel but on Dormanils (because he was the project leader and I didnt really care about YT back then). I actually did that one with the FL Studio demo version .... yeah, lets talk about something else.
