In this part, Phoenix accuses Dr. Crab of trying to poison the orca. He says Dr. Crab was slow to treat the orca yesterday. Dr. Crab claims that is because his monitoring system didn't show anything wrong with the orca. It turns out that the monitoring system automatically turns off, if the pool is empty. The monitoring system's log lets us know that the pool was NOT emptied at 7 AM, as Phoenix suggested.
There are only two people who fed the orca yesterday, and therefore, one of them must be the one who fed her the pill. Marlon Rimes testifies, saying that the orca killed the victim by throwing him in the air before the pool was drained. Although this testimony exonerates Phoenix's client, Phoenix knows it is a lie, and he demands to cross-examine it.
