This is the first video in a monthly series - posted the last weekend of each month - in which I will create a unique illustration of a mythical creature. I'm using this series to explore the process of creating a final piece - from sketches, studies, color comps to the final - as well as a means to making more original art.

Side note - when I was talking to my Dad about this piece and all the research behind it, he laughed and said "You're such a nerd, I love it!" I really am, lol. (and it's entirely his fault too! :P)
