Slum Vacation is an art project that encompasses video, sculpture and performance while attempting to bring both local and global awareness to the 1⁄3 of the world’s urban population living in slums. The project took place in public space (in the heart of the slum) and was followed by an exhibition in one of South East Asia's most important non-commercial art spaces. Slum Vacation also aims at bringing about some engagement, exceeding the exhibition, with the neighborhood.
