We're getting very tired with all these "maxxings" in 2026, and the newest one to enter today's lexicon is "Pheromone-maxxing," a trend that encourages people to skip showers and deodorant in an attempt to amplify their natural musk and become more biologically attractive to potential partners. However, there isn’t much concrete evidence that human pheromones actually work that way.

But there may be something behind our attraction to another person’s natural scent. The guys discuss research suggesting people can be subconsciously drawn to certain body odors based on differences in immune-system genes—and why someone’s post-workout funk can occasionally smell strangely appealing.

Then Spiegel makes a rather disgusting admission by revealing he really enjoys his natural musk, and you may feel a bit nauseous when listening to his explanation.
