Book Chat With Pat | Phenomenal Woman Readathon: Some Phenomenal Poets @BookChatWithPat8668 | Uploaded August 2024 | Updated October 2024, 4 minutes ago.
For this Poetry Thursday, I wanted to share a few poems by some phenomenal women poets in my continued observation of the Phenomenal Woman Readathon. This is an event created by my friend, Marilyn Maya Mendoza for the month of August in celebration of her four-year-anniversary on BookTube, her birthday, and her deep connection to the poet and memoirist, Maya Angelou.
Booktubers Mentioned:
@MarilynMayaMendoza
In this video, I read the following poems:
Millay, Edna St. Vincent. "City Trees." Collected Poems. Ed. Norma Millay. Harper Perennial Modern Classics. 2011.
Oliver, Mary. "The Black Walnut Tree." New and Collected Poems, Volume One. Beacon Press, 1992.
Dove, Rita. "I Have Been a Stranger in a Strange Land." Poetry Magazine, October 2002.
