Here is a fairly brutal looking crash of my phantom 3 standard, which miraculously survived with only a few scrapes. My goal with this video is to help prevent this from happening to someone
else who may not be so lucky.
What bothered me most about this is that it shouldn't have happened. We calibrated the compass, used a freshly charged battery, settings were all as they should be, and litchi had all the correct parameters to fly safely in follow me mode. In fact, we did so for about 10 minutes without any issues at all, up until litchi suddenly failed and the quad came hurling out of the sky.
As I mention in the video, given all the precautions taken before and research performed afterwards, I think the generic battery is ultimately to blame - not that litchi gets a free pass, because this particular battery works just fine with dji go.
