How this ended up being an overall record, I don't know. It's certainly not worthy of it, but well it's still a satisfactory score.
What I learned throughout recent runs on Normal, at least with 3 or 4 remaining lives, you need to survive Yumemi Round 1 for at least 15 minutes for the Round 1 clear bonus to give you more than dying and clearing on your last life would. Probably a bit less time if you have 2 or less remaining lives. The best way I found to determine how long Round 1 lasts, I base it on the opponent's score. Every 1 million equals 1 minute. This is not always completely accurate, but it generally is right. I only just recently figured this out and I have yet to actually get myself to peek at her score, but my muscle memory right now isn't allowing it...
