P&G has been present in Amiens for over 60 years – and its community impact extends well beyond the factory walls. HR Director Fabien Pierron shows how long-term partnerships with Dons Solidaires, UniLaSalle Amiens, and Agenda association are reaching hundreds of thousands of people, developing local talent, and supporting women who have experienced violence.
Featuring:
• Fabien Pierron, HR Director – P&G Amiens, France
• Inge De Backer, Corporate Communications Director – P&G Europe
• Jean-Luc Devilleneuve, Volunteer (Aisne, Seine-Maritime, Somme) – Dons Solidaires
• Peggy Benard, Amiens Distribution Center Quality Manager – P&G
• Sébastian Gomez, Laboratory Engineer and Factory School 4.0 Teaching Lead – UniLaSalle Amiens
• Line Rodien, SOS-Violence Vie Privée Service – Association Agena
• Jérémy Goslin, Emergency Housing Service Manager – Association Agena
Being one of the largest employers in the Amiens region carries a responsibility that goes beyond production and logistics. For P&G Amiens, citizenship means investing in education, supporting those in greatest need, and building partnerships that last not months but decades. This episode of Stories on the Move travels to three community partnerships that show what that commitment looks like in practice.
The first stop is Dons Solidaires, a product donation partnership that P&G Amiens has sustained for 20 years. Through its distribution centre, the site has donated approximately 1 million products over the last five years. Those products reach about 700 associations across France, supporting about 300,000 people per year – families living in precarity, for whom hygiene and household products are essential to personal dignity. Jean-Luc Devilleneuve, a former P&G Amiens HR Director who now volunteers with Dons Solidaires, describes a partnership built to last. Making a difference is something we do every day, together.
At UniLaSalle Amiens, P&G’s investment in local talent comes to life through the Factory School 4.0 – a training facility equipped with two robots donated by P&G, where students learn robotics and the skills connected to the industry of the future. Nine UniLaSalle students have gone on to careers at P&G Amiens, including former plant director Christopher Devernay, now a Vice President in Quality Assurance. The episode then visits the Agena association, which supports women and children who have experienced violence. A mobile van – funded by P&G Amiens – serves as a travelling reception centre, reaching approximately 40 people per week. Inside, Agena’s team offers a safe space to discuss violence and access guidance, going directly to those who may never push open the door of an office.
From the Dons Solidaires pallets to the Factory School 4.0 classroom to Agena’s mobile van, every partnership in this episode is rooted in the same conviction: that being present in a community for 60 years means contributing to it every day. P&G Amiens shows what citizenship in real life looks like – built partnership by partnership, person by person, and always together.
