Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival brings you "Meet the filmmakers" episode “Leleka”.
Interview with the director Harald Hutter and producer Jiali Ding, interviewer Javier Garcia Puerto

“It was very clear to me that this would be a journey across Europe but actually that it would be a journey inside the main character,” says Harald Hutter.

Harald Hutter is known for “Up the River with Acid” (2023), “Léthé” (2014) and “Hotel de la Comete” (2018). Hutter, who previously won the Grand Prize at Cinéma du Réel, moves into fiction with this delicate homage, based on conversations with Ukrainian exiles and artists. “Leleka” is a chant, a whispered poem and a sensory journey exploring the impact of war on humanity.
