“This Is Not Happening” is a gripping psychological thriller about people unable to accept reality. It dives into the darkest corners of the human mind, when Bartek’s life collapses because he learns that his son has killed a classmate. The two hide in his fiancée’s apartment and plan an escape abroad. When she tries to intervene, she becomes an accidental hostage, forcing Bartek to confront the law, his own illusions and the fragile foundations of his masculinity.
Artur Wyrzykowski is a Polish director, screenwriter and producer whose short films “Skafander Klingerta” (2021) and “Odgrzeb “(2022) have screened internationally. He also works as a script analyst and runs a popular blog on Polish cinema.

“Ei ole võimalik!” on psühholoogiline põnevik inimestest, kes ei suuda reaalsust omaks võtta. Film sukeldub inimese teadvuse kõige pimedamatesse nurkadesse hetkel, mil Barteki elu laguneb koost, kui ta saab teada, et tema poeg on tappnud oma klassivenna. Nad peituvad Barteki kihlatu korterisse ja planeerivad põgenemist välismaale. Kui naine üritab sekkuda, satub ta kogemata pantvangiks, sundides meest vastamisi seisma seaduse, iseenda illusioonide ja oma mehelikkuse haprate alustega.
Artur Wyrzykowski on Poola režissöör, stsenarist ja produtsent, kelle lühifilmid “Skafander Klingerta” (2021) ja “Odgrzeb” (2022) on linastunud rahvusvaheliselt. Ta töötab ka stsenaariumianalüütikuna ning peab populaarset blogi Poola kinost.
