The VorTech line of pumps have gone through a recent upgrade to the driver. The new QuietDrive represent the next evolution to the award winning VorTech Driver. The unit comes ready with 6+ continuous operational modes (including Natural Gyre), feed mode, night mode and has up to 90% reduction in motor noise. QuietDrive is fully compatible with EcoSmart Live via ReefLink and will work in conjunction with existing WWD and "w" EcoSmart Pumps. The EcoTech VorTech line of pumps are low-profile, broad flow pumps for aquariums ranging from 2.5 gallons to 1,000+ gallons. The magnetically coupled design keeps the motor, heat and wires out of the aquarium. The variable flow rate allows the unit to grow with your system. Prop design creates a low velocity flow spread out over a larger area. Microprocessors will shut off the pump if the impeller is jammed, the magnets are disconnected or motor over heats. Unit has a 1 year Warranty. Optional Battery Back-Up will run an MP10wQD for up to 72 hours, MP40wQD up to 36 hours and an MP60wQD up to 20 hours in an emergency. All "w" models come complete with an RF module installed. The RF module will allow up to 8 "w" pumps to work in sync, anti-sync or coordinated modes.
