Boyd Chemi-Pure Blue is the latest addition of carbon media in the Chemi-Pure line of aquarium products. For use in reef and marine aquariums, Chemi-Pure Blue polishes saltwater without removing as much of the trace elements needed by corals. It is created with a new proprietary blend of premium, low dust, pelletized carbon and high capacity ion exchange resins, resulting in a superior, all-in-one filter media that comes packaged in a ready-to-use nylon bag.
Chemi-Pure Blue significantly reduces nitrogenous organic compounds and phosphates much faster, more efficiently, and for a longer period of time. It also raises redox, helps stabilize pH, and rinses clean quickly. The carbon's structure is harder and reduces the potential of Head & Lateral Line Errosion or Lateral Line Disease (HLLE) due to fine carbon dust particles. 5.5 oz. treats up to 35 gallons, 11 oz. treats up to 75 gallons.
