We interrupt our normal programme to bring you a song that I actually put down for a month.
So a month or so back I was very into Petal Crash, a puzzle game. I ain't big of a puzzle game fan but I do play Puyo Puyo, so that counts for something. I liked the music a lot, so I set out to arrange a theme or two, one of those themes being New Bloom Part 2, which is on this channel. I then thought to do Like a Bellflower on random because I liked the (mostly) 5/4 (5/8?) time signature.
However due to general laziness and quite the burnout, I had to put it down; I didn't keep my Mega Drive/ FM tracking skills in check, and thus I felt kinda helpless trying to get back into swing with my FM works. Working with other instruments is healthy for expanding my horizons, but I honestly didn't want to risk it.
I did tease what I had at the time on Twitter, and just today I received a reply from Ashley Jenkins (the Petal Crash dev) today asking if they could listen to a full version, which I felt kinda ashamed for putting it down and finished the rest today.
Thanks, Ashley.
Music is obviously SNES/ SFC-esque. Not much to say about this part other than the fact that I do not know how to title this video in a way that makes more sense?
Song name: Petal Crash - Like a Bellflower (Kirby-Styled Arrangement)
Written by Will Bowerman,
Initially arranged by Michael Staple a.k.a. MaxieDaMan;
Rearranged by John Tay
