As many of you know, the band that made this song is a big interest of mine. While this song in particular has never been one of my favorites, I found it resonating with me a lot. I interpret it as the struggle of artists to overcome perfectionism, especially with many people watching them. I tried to channel that energy into this animation, I didn’t refine it and went by the emotion it evokes alone (that’s why you don’t see any of my OCs in this, it’s one of my very few entirely personal animations I’ve ever made). You can interpret it how you will, this is just a result of me wanting to try something new, and pure inspiration.
I had the idea for, scripted, and animated this all in the span of roughly 24 hours. The goal was completion and challenge, not perfection, taking something “I should delete” to exercise.
