Performed May 5, 2012 at the Festival of the Cross in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), Peru by the men of Urubamba. (Urupampa means "Flat land of Spiders" and is small town in Peru, located near the Urubamba River.) This footage is pieces from over an hour from the festival, but the dance started with some synchronized moves with large bullwhips whips, then moved into a sort of whip game/dance, where the dancers would pair off and take turns whipping each other on he legs when signaled by whistle. When they didn't connect the mediators with the black masks would serve up a penalty whipping. It eventually ended with a slam dance by everyone and shots of chica.
