This is a quick tip for environment artists and level designers who are having troubles with matching perspectives in a game engine and their 3d package of choice. FOV is very important in matching up proportions and perspective from a concept or reference piece.
One note is that I did not actually have to scrap the environment. I changed the FOV settings in the editor to match 3ds Max which worked. This is okay for an environment that you're showing off in a portfolio, but it's not as acceptable for an actual play space. Lower FOV's tend to cause motion sickness!
