This is a video taken during the 2017 Far West Popular Culture Association Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this talk I present some early findings based on data in the form of interviews analyzed through the framework of signification. The purpose of this investigation was to determine the role of play perspective (1st person vs 3rd person) in the way players understand their experiences as on-screen characters.
This is an ongoing work that will culminate with an article to be submitted to a yet to be determined journal.
