In any relationship, there are two forces pulling on us: togetherness and individuality. We want to be closer, to be supported, to be an "us" and a "we." BUT... we also want (and need!) to maintain our own individuality, to been seen and supported *for who we are*
That's where personal and relationship goals come in. In this video, I share why it's important to set personal goals as well as goals for your relationship that you decide together with your boyfriend. I also go over how to get started doing both. Having a shared vision for your relationship while being supported in your personal identity is one of the secrets to a successful, thriving, long-term gay relationship.
