You never saw it comingggggggg
So yeah Joker got unveiled in Smash just two days ago and released (to the Nintendo servers' dismay) yesterday, and after many internet delays we finally got him. I personally thought he would be released on Easter, so imagine my surprise when I was just in the middle of Linear Algebra homework and the Smash Ultimate update 3.0 trailer dropped! After that, I knew that even with only a day and a half to do it, I needed to cover a Persona song.
I've been wanting to cover Persona 5 music ever since Joker was first revealed at the game awards. The funky vibe of the series compliments the art style of the Persona series spectacularly. I'll be doing more in-depth covers eventually (like hopefully Life Will Change and Tokyo Daylight to name a few), but for the short time frame I had, Aria of the Soul (also known as Poem for Everyone's Soul and also Hymn of the Soul ahhhhh) has both a deceptively simple melody yet a powerful 'persona' to it (hahaha get it). I haven't played any Persona games yet tho, but hopefully Persona 5 will come out on Nintendo Switch so I can enjoy it as much as I enjoy Joker in Smash Bros Ultimate and all the cool features of the 3.0 update. Hope you enjoy this piano cover of the Velvet Room music, Aria of the Soul from Persona 5 (and Persona 4, and Persona 3, and I think Persona 2...)!
