It’s 2020, right? Last I checked we were in the brand new decade and blasting off towards the end of the world. When I close my eyes and listen close, though, Perro De Prenda isn’t a new band from Austin, Tx. Oh no. It feels like I’m on some Cambridge street in the 80’s and someone just slipped me a tape fit for This is Boston, Not LA.
It has that thin air and flat thump that makes a hardcore record an instant classic. It’s frantic without shoving in your face.
