This video reviews the conclusions we reached for our periodic motion lab, which looked at how the period of oscillation of a spring-mass system is affected by the system’s mass. Sample graphs and equations are presented from student collected data, and a derivation of the general equation that relates period, mass and the spring constant is discussed.
