Richard Egarr directs and Tim Mead and Keri Fuge are the soloists in this full-length film of Stabat Mater Dolorosa from Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. The text is a Christian hymn to Mary, depicting her suffering as she watches her son's crucifixion.

At the Cross her station keeping,
stood the mournful Mother weeping,
close to her Son to the last.
