Performed at @lapdhq national night out yesterday. If you would have told me I’d be doing what I’m doing now 5 years ago, I don’t know what I would have thought of it. I thank God every day for waking me up and transforming me by renewing my mind. In addition to that, I know being woke comes with great responsibility so I understand why some people want to stay sleep.
With all that said, the police want to be a part of the community. They want peace with us. They literally threw this event for the community in South Central. All these vendors were here on behalf of the police giving free essentials. They don’t publicize these things in the media though. I met the captain too. He was black & from the neighborhood.
Why make the police an enemy if you don’t have to? It’s only make your life harder lol. Mind you, this is coming from a former gang member. If nobody going to be the bridge, I’ll do it. How we going to get different results with the same mentality?? That F the police energy ain’t got us NO WHERE. You get back what you put out.💯
