On the evening of Wednesday, July 2nd, we proudly hosted pedal steel guitarist Luke Schneider (TN), new age and psych-Americana project Pure Waves (MA/MT), and Brian Werstler and Bill Stoner’s experimental electronic music duo Yul Brynner’s Ghost(CMH).
About the artists:
Pure Waves is an ambient new age and psych-Americana project from long-time collaborators Keith Dusoe (Easthampton, MA) and Jay Fiske (Missoula, MT). Inspired by both embodied movement practices as well as experiences in deep nature, Pure Waves composes soundscapes that transcribe and inspire elemental motion: layered horizons of analog synth with scattered passing clouds of pedal steel. Their debut album ‘Be Yourself Out There’ was mastered by Chuck Johnson and released on Akashic Records in late 2024.
