On the evening of Thursday, December 11, we proudly featured digital artists/electronic musicians Franck Vigroux (FR) and Antoine Schmitt (FR), who performed their audiovisual project “Cascades”. Joining them on the bill were experimental electronic musician David Reed’s (CMH) solo project Envenomist, and experimental electronic musician/video artist Matt Swift (CMH).
Our touring artist program is supported by the Greater Columbus Arts Council, the Ohio Arts Council, and the Columbus Foundation.
About the artist:
Matt Swift is a multimodal artist that creates work independently and with his partner Nikki Swift as part of Nicolettecinemgraphics. His work brings together over 15 years in film, photography, painting, and other artforms. Originally a musician that came to other arts in his 20s, his work always incorporates music in some form. Since the mid 2010s Matt has created audio visual poetic works that have been screened domestically and internationally. Since 2020 a larger focus has been the drive to create more original soundtracks and expression based live performance in all his works as well as revisiting his earlier days as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist.
