Join professional voice actors, Robert Hartley GM, AJ Winters and Ellen K. Graham, as they take the attendees through techniques, tips and tricks to develop a mastery of accents and voice work for TTRPGs. Robert, AJ and Ellen will lead the discussion on how their educations and careers have influenced them and revealed the best practices for developing iconic characters with efficiency and vocal preservation. The attendees will be invited to participate with questions and accent suggestions as well as offer challenges to test the skills of the professionals present.

During the workshop, attendees may, to their comfort level, simply watch and listen, or take a more active participation with Robert, AJ and Ellen guiding the completion of a worksheet designed to prompt the development of recognisable and consistent character voices, even for those who feel uncomfortable doing accent work.

Robert's career has blossomed from starting as a trained actor and casual Dungeon Master in Auckland, New Zealand, to leading the cast of Viva La Dirt League in their popular D&D campaign on YouTube. He has also launched successful platforms in streaming, podcasting and audiobook recording with a dedicated fan following, all of which showcase his skill in vocal performances and accent mimicry.

AJ Winters is a professional writer and actor from Perth, WA, who turned her passion for storytelling into a career as the Producer and Dungeon Master of the first D&D studio in Australia: Winters Tales. As a trained voice actor, AJ uses her accents and character work in all types of media from liveplays to podcasts, as well as audio books, voice-over work and advertising. Combining her writing career (including her time in marketing management) with her acting experience, gives AJ a unique angle to her voice work that targets storytelling above all else.

Ellen is an actor, playwright, clown, drag king, podcaster and RPG player. She has also trained her voice extensively, learning singing in jazz and operatic styles for 7 years and adopting the Estill method during her time at acting school. She has taken her passion for voice acting and RPGs into her flagship TTRPG podcast, Role to Cast, which experiments in different genres and game systems per season.

This workshop promises to be fun and informative for those with a casual interest to career hopefuls and even fellow professionals looking to expand their talents.
