We set out for the perfect Florida adventure… and it almost turned into a disaster.
In this episode, we take our Saturn inflatable boat out to explore the beautiful waters around Sanibel Island. From launching the boat and cruising the Gulf, to shelling some of the best beaches in Florida, this trip had everything—calm seas, great fishing, and unforgettable views of the Sanibel Lighthouse.
We find amazing shells, spot live ones, and even hook into some fish—including a puffer fish and a Spanish mackerel! Day two brings glassy, calm waters and incredible shelling at Bowman’s Beach.
But on day three… things take a turn.
While heading offshore to fish a reef, we suddenly realize our inflatable boat is losing air fast. With the front chamber deflating, we’re forced to limp back 7 miles to shore at less than 5 knots—right as a storm rolls in.
It was one of the most intense moments we’ve experienced on the water… but by the Grace of God, we made it back safely.
