Sooo the MEP just got out and I wanted to upload this ♥
Yes, I KNOW the anime is controversial and all BUT it fit the song perfectly, I felt like I just had to use it...
Gaga has made several songs (Paparazzi, Rain On Me, Do What You Want etc.) where she sings about the unpleasant / dangerous aspects of fame, ranging from ambition and obsession to a constant fear of failure, drugs and alcohol abuse, stalkers, exploitation.... you name it. There is a LOT of shit going on in the industry.
Perfect Celebrity feels the same to me; or at least it has a similar vibe. Basically I interpreted the song as "I'll do anything for fame, even if I have to sell my body and dignity" and "as long as I stay rich, I don't care if you hate me". And honestly, I get it in a way. Once you go through a lot or struggle financially, at some point you just stop caring entirely about what others might think. You just do what you have to do and live on. Pride doesn't pay the bills, after all.
Sadly it seems like I was the only one who focused more on portraying the meaning of the song instead of just making my part look pretty. Now, I feel like it sticks out negatively in the MEP. Sorry if I ruined it for you. ;w; ♥

!!!PLEASE READ!!!
Hi guys! I have been editing way too much (and with too much effort) lately... the result is that Im super unmotivated for fancy effects right now. So here is an Amv that I made with NO effort at all :D (as you can see...)
To be honest, this is an issue that bothers me a lot in the Amv community. Mostly editors who join MEPs like me are affected the most. Theres just too much competition everywhere, everyone is trying to become better than the other ones so that they go too far and lose their love for a hobby. I even started to feel kinda embarrased to share simple videos... until I realized theres no need to feel this way. I kinda want the old times back when there were more simple Amvs and a happier community. Well, time cannot be reversed. But we can try not to be so hard on ourselves.
Soooo I challenge all editors who read this: Make a super simple Amv with a footage you love. Dont put any effort in it. Remember how it was when you started editing. Id really love to see others do the same :)
And even if you dont agree, please remember to enjoy your hobby and not to take it too far. Do not lose your passion. :)
