If there's one thing I've grown to love over the years, it's a solid performing air cooled PC! There's something about the aesthetic and ease of maintenance that just gets me buzzing! This build right here is no exception.
The Fractal Design Torrent Compact takes the well established Torrent and trims down some length and height without sacrificing that oh-so-good air cooling! Speaking of which, those two 180mm x 38mm fans on the front move SO much air, effortlessly and silently making this one of the smallest cases I've ever built inside of with THAT much cooling potential.
That's just as well too, because the torrent compact wouldn't really house an AIO too well, unless front mounting it... which wouldn't be the best idea because you're then taking away that beautiful unrestricted airflow. All is not lost, though, as you can mount 120mm fans on the bottom of the chassis. I chose not to do this, the airflow as-is was more than adequate to keep the RTX 3080 and the i7 13700K at excellent temps!

To wrap this up, the Torrent Compact offers plenty of space for a solid air-cooled gaming setup with excellent aesthetics to match. Would you use this for the 4090? No, because they absolutely wouldn't fit! Choose the standard full size Torrent for that! Otherwise, smaller GPU's such as the RTX 3080 are right at home with a large air cooler such as the DeepCool AS500 Plus!
