Greg D'Alessio is a composer, songwriter and mixed media artist, and is currently a Professor of Composition and Coordinator of the Electronic and Computer Music Studios at Cleveland State University. In addition, he is the co-founder and co-editor of New Modern Music, an online magazine dedicated to the world of contemporary music.
His string quartet, "Per La Fiamma Andando" (A Path Through the Flames) depicts various scenes from Dante Alighieri's epic "The Divine Comedy."
