Finally an excuse to edit with probably my favorite historical couple, Lorenzo De Medici & Clarice Orsini. We all know why I've got Medici in the first place but I decided to give the show an actual watch and now it is one of my favorite shows. The storytelling, the actors, the music, the costumes. All of it is just stunning. Easily one of my favorite historical tv shows now. Anyways when I first saw this mep that Thexangeldits was hosting, I knew right away I had to grab the two as they easily fit the song especially in S3 where Lorenzo does so much for the sake of making sure his family is secure once he is gone and they weren’t always the best decisions. I honestly wish I could use the entire line of what Clarice says to Lorenzo but for a bit of context, Lorenzo had offered his young daughter, Maddalena to Franceschetto Cybo, Pope Innocent VIII’s then illegitimate son who then got legitimated (idk the full history on that so don’t ask) at 14 but in the show she is portrayed at like 8-10 so you can imagine that being the final breaking point for Clarice. It’s a beautiful show and if you need a new historical drama then I highly recommend Medici! You got 3 seasons, 1st season dedicated to Lorenzo’s grandfather then 2 seasons about Lorenzo and his life.
