Poppy wants to explore the world, and Alex prefers to stay home with a good book, but somehow they are the very best of friends. They live far apart, but for a decade, they have spent one week of summer vacation together. We’ve got Emily Bader and Tom Blyth as Poppy and Alex, respectively. They’ve been the best friends since college, and despite their completely different ambitions and outlooks on life, they have promised to spend a week every summer together in a new place for vacation. This movie is also adapted from author Emily Henry’s novel of the same name. I think Netflix’s People We Meet on Vacation is my first rom-com of 2026.
